Handsome Frank Smith Sterling Silver Newport Shell Serving Ladle W Mono 10"

Presented is a handsome Frank Smith sterling silver soup, punch, or gravy serving ladle. This piece is done in the traditional Newport Shell pattern, which began production in 1910. As the name suggests, this pattern features a classic bold shell design on the terminal of the handle, as well as a beaded design around the edge. The terminal of the handle has a monogram of W in Gothic script.

This piece is in great condition.  There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The ladle is stamped with the maker's mark for Frank Smith, as well as sterling and the retail mark for C. F. Hopkins.

The ladle is about 10 inches long.

The ladle weighs 148 grams or 5.2 regular ounces.
