Presented is a handsome antique brass or bronze trivet, of European or American make. This piece dates to the mid 1800s up to the early 1900s, there are no marks so it's difficult to be sure. The trivet is made in an appealing open design like a flower, and stands on four sturdy legs. Likely for a kettle, but could be used for hot pans or however else you like.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is some wear to the patina here and there, and the piece could stand to be polished up some. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The trivet stands about 2 inches tall and measures about 6 5/8 inches in diameter. -jm
