Handsome 1967 Scottish Sterling Silver Agate Thistle Pin Brooch Robert Allison

Presented is a nice vintage Scottish sterling silver and agate thistle pin or brooch. This piece is dated 1967 and was made by Robert Allison, a very well known maker of Scottish themed silver jewelry. The thistle is very detailed and well done, set where the 'bulb' portion of the thistle is with an oval cabochon of white and orange striped agate, very striking. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp.

This piece is stamped with the Scottish thistle guaranteeing sterling purity silver, the city mark for Edinburgh, the date letter m for 1967 and the maker's mark for Robert Allison. The piece is also marked Scotland.

This piece is in excellent condition. The clasp works well. The stone is in great shape and securely set.

The pin measures about 1 1/2 by 1 ¼ inches.

This piece weighs 12 grams.
