Presented is a handsome Russian silver creamer, dated 1880 and made by S. M. Ikonikov. The cup is beautifully hand engraved with traditional Pan-Slavic decoration, in a clean-lined geometric style surrounding a blank cartouche on either side. The creamer is a charming small size, with an elegant scroll handle. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped with an assay mark dated 1880, the Russian 84 zolotnik mark guaranteeing 875 purity silver, the city mark for Moscow, and a maker's mark for S. M. Ikonikov.
The creamer weighs 93.4 grams or 3.3 regular ounces.
