Presented is a vintage sterling silver necklace made in the American Southwest during the last half of the 1900s. This piece is guaranteed to be Native American Indian in origin, likely Zuni. The chain style necklace is decorated with 11 handcrafted charms in the forms of bears. Each bear has a flat, engraved side and a neat, textured side with many small square and rectangular silver pieces soldered to form a really interesting design. The necklace could be worn with either the more simple and stylized design or the more intricate applied decoration side visible, so it is reversible. The necklace is long and this piece is definitely eye-catching.
