Presented is an ornate and fine quality sterling silver and beaded natural stone necklace and pendant set completely hand crafted by southwest Native Americans, most likely Navajo or Hopi. The strand is composed of horn, turquoise and sterling beads. The large pendant is set at the top with a quality turquoise stone with a great matrix above a full bodied, detailed bison's head decoration. Included with this necklace is a matching pendant, also with a bison head decoration and turquoise stone. Hanging from the bottom are two detailed silver feathers.
The back of the necklace pendant is marked with a D for the maker Don Dixon.
Although these pieces are not marked for silver purity, they have been tested and are guaranteed to be sterling silver purity.
This set is in excellent condition. There are no missing stones or beads, no breaks, no dents and no repairs. The screw mechanism on the necklace's clasp is very secure.
