Presented is an eye catching 14K gold and opal pendant. This artisan-made pendant is beautifully hand crafted with a heavy weight yellow gold setting framing the opal. The opal is a doublet. It measures approximately 11.5 millimeters by 16 millimeters. The stone is quite vibrant, flashing with brilliant hues of orange, blue, purple, green and gold depending on how the light hits it. The play of colors is very nice. The gold setting is exceptionally solid and heavy. It has a double loop on the top so the pendant will hang very nicely on a chain. The pendant is fairly modern.
It is signed on the reverse with ?ald & Co. and marked 14K. We have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold.
The condition is excellent. The stone is well set. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
The pendant measures approximately 1/2 inch by 1/8 inches. The weight is 10.2 grams.
