Great Set c1840s Chinese Export Porcelain Brown Fitzhugh 9 Cups 4 Saucers

Presented is an excellent quality group of antique Chinese export porcelain tea cups and saucers, dating to circa 1820-1850. The group consists of 9 cups and 4 saucers, all in a lovely Fitzhugh pattern. This pattern is very ornate and features richly detailed peonies and other flowers as well as a very prominent moth or butterfly, all done in a rust brown color with gold gilt detailing. This brown variant of the classic Fitzhugh pattern is quite rare and hard to find today, so this is a great opportunity to add to your collection. This set is in excellent condition, particularly considering the age and material. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. We are including with the group a tenth cup, which has a fine hairline faintly visible to the interior, since it came to us with the rest of the set.

Each saucer measures about 5 inches in diameter. Each cup stands about 2 1/4 inches tall at the rim. -jm
