Presented is a great set of 9 salad or luncheon plates, made for Tiffany & Co by Lenox. These pieces date to the first half of the 1900s. The set is made in an elegant cream, white and gold pattern, very similar to the Lowell and Vernon patterns but with an additional band of gold decoration around the rim and around the center. The center portion of the plates is bright white, contrasting with cream white between the bands of gold decoration. The gold decoration is done in both matte and bright finish, with a finely textured and detailed design.
This set is in great overall condition. The gilding is in great shape. The plates have some very minor knife marks or abrasions to the actual eating surface, but nothing extremely noticeable. One plate has a chip to the underside of the rim, which we point out in the final photo, which is not visible from the front. Other than that one chip, there are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
