Presented is a great set of 6 Whiting sterling silver teaspoons. These spoons are done in the popular Lily pattern, which began production in 1902. As the name suggests, this pattern features a beautiful design of lilies and leaves on the handle. Each spoon has a cartouche on the handle, surrounded by the floral design. Three of the spoons are monogrammed JSM in vertical script. One is monogrammed J in Gothic script on the front and 1910 on the back. One is monogrammed AD in script on the front and 1905 on the back. One is monogrammed G in Gothic script.
This set is in great condition. The details of the design are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
All the spoons are stamped with the maker's mark for Whiting as well as sterling and the patent and registration date of 1902. Four of the spoons also have an E mark.
Each spoon is about 5 7/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 185 grams or 6.5 regular ounces. -jm
