Presented is a great set of 6 sterling silver round cream soup spoons by Durgin. These spoons are done in the lovely Marechal Niel pattern, which began production in 1896. The bowls of the spoons have a rich gold wash. The handles have a monogram of 'EFM' done vertically in flowing script.
This set is in great overall condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The gold was is in great shape. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped with the Durgin maker's mark as well as sterling and a retail mark for Theodore B. Starr.
Each spoon is about 5 5/8 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 181.3 grams or 6.4 regular ounces. -jm
