Great Rare and Huge Dutch 1854 Silver Pastry or Salad or Food Tongs

Presented is an antique pair of Dutch silver sandwich, salad or serving tongs or serving spoon and fork set made in 1854. This is an interesting, Victorian piece. The top has a interlocking nut that attaches the two separate pieces. Each arm is hand engraved with beautiful flourishes and flowers. An unusual design, which I have seen a few times before on antique Dutch silver.
The inside of each arm is marked with the Dutch Minerva head mark, the lion passant for minimum 833 silver purity, a maker's mark and a date letter U for the year 1854 .
This piece is in great overall condition and the designs are crisp. There is minimal surface wear with no damages and no repairs.

Weight: 139 grams or 4.9 ounces.
