Presented is a wonderful set of 6 Georgian English sterling silver tea spoons. The spoons are done in a very simple and attractive pattern. All six spoons are monogrammed on the terminal with 'AB' in elegant script. These are very well-made and high quality pieces of silver work, and would make an excellent addition to any table or collection.

These spoons are hallmarked on the stem with the lion passant for sterling silver, the date letter L for 1806, the King George III head duty mark, and a maker's mark of IF, possibly for John Foster II. This maker's mark appears to have been struck over another, obscured maker's mark.

This set of spoons is in excellent overall condition. There is some slight surface wear to the bowls of the spoons, commensurate with age and use. There are no splits, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The spoons are approximately 5 1/2 inches long.

The set of spoons weighs 98 grams or 3.5 ounces total.
