Presented is a superb quality, platinum, pearl and diamond gemstone cocktail or statement ring made in America during the last quarter of the 1900s. This beautiful ring is prong set in the center with a huge pearl that measures 12 millimeters in diameter. The mounting surrounding the pearl is set with 48 baguette diamonds. There is 1.56 carats in diamond in total diamond weight. The diamond weight is stamped inside the band.
The inside of the band is marked PT900 for platinum purity and D156 for 1.56 carats in diamond weight.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The pearl is half drilled and mounted on a post and glued. There are also 4 very beefy prongs holding the pearl. All of the diamonds are prong set on the outside edge and channel set on the center. The setting is very heavy. The best quality.
