Gorgeous c1900 14k Rose Gold Chain w/Opal & Pearl Heart Slider
Presented is a gorgeous 14 karat rose gold chain with a heart shaped opal and pearl slider. This is an Austrian piece dating to around 1890-1910. The chain is well made and sturdy, with a clasp at either end, suitable for use as a watch chain or as a necklace. The heart shaped opal in the slider is beautiful, with rich flashes of fire, the photos can't do it justice.
This piece is in great condition. The slider moves well on the chain. Both clasps function well and close securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
This piece is hallmarked on the link next to the lobster claw style clasp with the Austrian dog's head mark for 14 karat gold, a maker's mark of AF, and the assay city mark of C for Prague. The lobster clasp has the maker's mark AF. The springring clasp and the slider both have the C assay mark. The maker's mark AF and the dog's head 14 karat gold guarantee are on the link next to the springring clasp. This piece is clearly all original.
