Presented is a gorgeous antique Chinese porcelain punchbowl or centerpiece bowl, dating to the first half of the 1800s. The bowl is beautifully hand painted inside and out with colorful designs of blue and pink flowers, scrolling green foliage, shells and maple leaves, all quite detailed and well done. The bowl is a good large size, quite useable as a centerpiece bowl, fruit bowl, or however else you might wish to display it.
This piece is in good overall condition. There is a spider hairline to one side, visible both inside and outside of the bowl, which we point out in the eighth photograph. The bowl still rings pretty well when tapped despite this small hairline. There is some typical wear to the decoration around the rim and a little in the center, please view the photos carefully. No chips or repairs.
The bowl stands about 4 3/4 inches tall at the rim and measures about 11 inches in diameter. -jm
