Presented is a lovely 18 karat yellow gold, sapphire and diamond ring. The ring is set with a gorgeous marquise cut sapphire, surrounded by 12 diamonds, with two channels of baguette cut sapphires (24 total) on the outside. The center marquise sapphire measurs about 5.4 by 2.9 millimeters, about 17 points in weight, while the exterior border of sapphires are 2-3 points each in size, for a total sapphire weight of at least 66 points (two thirds of a carat) at a very conservative estimate. The sapphires are well matched in their beautiful rich blue color, and catch the light very attractively. The diamonds are vibrant, dazzling single cut stones, totaling 8-10 points in weight, and make a very appealing contrast with the blue sapphires and deep yellow 18k gold.
The ring is stamped with 750, for 18 karat gold. We have tested the ring with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 18 karat gold.
This piece is in excellent condition. The diamonds and sapphires are well set, with no chips.
The ring is a size 6 3/4. The head of the ring measures about 20 millimeters north to south while the band measures about 2 millimeters wide at the narrowest point.
