Presented is a fine Georg Jensen sterling silver pie or cake server, dating to around the 1930s. The server is made in the classic Acorn pattern designed by Johan Rohde, which began production in 1915. This is one of Jensen's most popular and iconic flatware patterns, featuring bold column and scroll designs supporting a stylized acorn for the terminal of the handles. This server is solid sterling silver, with no weighting, filling, or stainless steel to either the blade or the handle.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The server is stamped the Georg Jensen maker's mark as well as sterling and Denmark.
This server measures about 7 7/8 inches long.
