Presented is a great quality pair of sterling silver tongs made by George Jensen of Denmark and imported into England in 1948. This piece is in the Acorn pattern. The spring mechanism is working well. The handles are done in a neat acorn and flourish design and the feet have ruffled accents along the edge.
The arms are marked Denmark, sterling, Georg Jensen and are also marked with English import marks with a date letter N for the year 1948.
This pair of tongs is in virtually mint condition and the designs are crisp. There are no damages and no repairs.
The tongs measure 3 3/4 inches long and weigh 26.4 grams.
