Presented is a very fine quality, French silver flatware set made by Ercuis. This set includes a place, table or oval soup spoon, a salad/lunch fork, a dinner fork and a dinner knife. The pieces are in the Lafayette pattern. Each handle has a beaded edge and the pieces have never been monogrammed.
This set brand new would sell for approximately $1,600.
Each piece is marked for Ercuis and has the French Minerva head mark for 950 purity silver.
This set is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are crisp. The pieces appear to be unused. These pieces were being used as display flatware for a shop, so they have been handled, but never actually used.
Fork lengths: 8 1/4 and 7 3/8 inches.
Spoon length: 7 1/4 inches.
Knife length: 9 1/4 inches.
The two forks and spoon weigh 182 grams.
