Presented is a fine set of 12 English sterling silver demitasse spoons. These spoons were made by Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd, and date to 1965. The spoons have oval medallion style terminals to the handles, each with a little design of crossed golf clubs above a golf ball. The spoons are very well made, and have surprisingly high weight for their size. When we acquired these spoons, they were all still inside their paper wrappers, which we only removed in order to give the spoons a light cleaning. The spoons are unused and unmonogrammed. A great gift for any golfer in your life.
This set is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the crown for the city of Sheffield, the date letter X for 1965, and the maker's mark for Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd.
Each spoon is about 4 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 127 grams or 4.5 regular ounces. -jm
