Presented is a fine quality Gorham sterling silver salad serving set. This set is done in the attractive Cambridge pattern, which began production in 1899. This is an elegant pattern featuring floral designs and gadrooning on the handles. Each of the pieces has a monogram of 'G' in Gothic script on the handle. This salad set could also be used individually for more generalized serving purposes.
Each piece is in excellent overall condition. The details of the pattern are quite crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The stem of each piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Gorham, as well as a patent date of 1899.
Both the spoon and the fork are about 8 3/4 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 139.6 grams or 4.9 regular ounces.
