Presented is a fine quality cobalt glass vase with a white glass snake wrapped around the body of the vase. There is enamel painted decorations around the body of the vase. This piece is handblown and was undoubtedly made in the mid-1800s, probably between 1840 through the 1870s.
There is a handblown pontil mark on the underside of the vase. We are Not sure of the country of origin.
There are no chips or cracks. There is some gilding worn especially from the snake's body, this is something that should be expected on an antique piece like this.
The vase is 9 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches maximum diameter at the top rim. -RS
