Fine Old c1815-1825 American Coin Silver Large Kings Punch Soup Ladle R W Wilson
Regular price
$495.00
Presented is a wonderful antique American coin silver serving ladle, by R & W Wilson, Philadelphia silversmiths. This ladle dates to circa 1815-1825 and is made in the timeless King or Kings pattern, so it would be very easy to match to an existing set, as many silver companies and individual makers have produced this pattern over the centuries. The ladle has a wide, generous size bowl and a long handle. The back of the ladle has a shell decoration matching the design of the rest of the pattern on the handle. The reverse of the terminal of the handle has a monogram in intricate script, that looks like GWEAS.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with the mark for Robert & William Wilson.
The ladle measures about 12 1/2 inches long.
This piece weighs 190.3 grams or 6.7 regular ounces. -jm
