Fine Gorham Medallion 1864 Sterling Silver Casserole Serving Scoop Spoon 9"
Presented is a fine old Gorham sterling silver serving spoon or scoop. This piece is done in the Medallion pattern, which began production in 1864. As the name suggests, this pattern features a medallion design for the end of the handle, with a classical Greco-Roman style profile in the center of the medallion. The back of the handle has a monogram of HFH.
The server is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped on the stem with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling and the patent date of 1864.
This piece is about 9 inches long.
This piece weighs 85.9 grams or 3.0 regular ounces.
