Fine English Staffordshire New Hall Cobalt Blue Gilt Creamer and Covered Sugar

Regular price $198.00 $0.00 Unit price per
Presented is an English Staffordshire New Hall covered sugar bowl and creamer. This set has a beautiful interweaving pattern of cobalt blue waves, gold bauble garlands, and stars. The rims are done in vibrant gold as well. Golden leafy vines gives this set a lovely design that will brighten your afternoon tea experience. This set was produced circa 1790-1815.

This set is in fair condition. The covered sugar bowl has had a professional restoration to the body. The repair left part of the sugar bowl with a slightly more cream colored look than the original white porcelain, this is more visible on the interior than the exterior, but is more localized to one end on the exterior. The creamer also has a fine crack in its handle, near the bottom where the handle joins the body, but there is not a corresponding crack at the top of the handle so the handle has not been broken and repaired. Both items are still quite useable, or would be great for display.
