Presented is a nice English sterling silver vanity, or dressing table perfume bottle set. The stand dates to 1822, with replacement bottles dating to 1886. The glass bottles are done in a lovely panel sided style, with cut glass stoppers and sterling silver collars. One of the bottles has a silver spoon, complete with tiny rat tail to the back of the bowl, attached to its stopper. The stand of the set is sterling silver with a wood panel set in the underside of the tray.

The stand is hallmarked faintly with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head for the city of London, the date letter g for 1822, and King George's head duty mark. The side of the tray is also marked with the lion passant and a maker's mark that looks like RI. Four of the bottles are hallmarked with the lion passant, the leopard's head, the date letter L for 1886, Queen Victoria's head duty mark, and a maker's mark we unfortunately do not recognize. One of the remaining two bottles has the lion passant, King George's head, and a maker's mark that looks like HE, while the last bottle only an H that is probably part of the same HE maker's mark can be seen.

The stand of the set is in great overall condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Four of the glass bottles have some chips around their bases. One of the bottles has no stopper.

Each of the bottles is about 5 1/2 inches tall. The stand itself is about 8 1/2 inches tall.
