Fine Art Nouveau Amston Sterling Silver Tyrolean Serving Fork 9 1/4"
Presented is a wonderful Amston sterling silver serving fork. This piece is made in the elegant Tyrolean pattern, which began production in 1905. This pattern features lovely scrolled foliate designs on the handles, similar to Amston's Gladstone pattern but with more room for monograms. The fork is decorated at the top of the tines with a design of amaryllis flowers and stems in a very Art Nouveau style, typical of the time to which the pattern dates. Use this piece to serve meat, salad, or whatever else you like, it is a very versatile and attractive piece of silver.
This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern's design are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The fork is stamped with the Amston maker's mark as well as sterling on the stem.
The fork is about 9 1/4 inches long.
The fork weighs 97 grams or 3.4 regular ounces.
