Fine Antique Webster Sterling Silver Overlay 6" Coaster Trivet No Mono
Regular price
$178.00
Presented is a fine quality sterling silver overlay trivet, dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s. This trivet was made by Webster. The sterling silver overlay is quite thick, done in a very profuse and intricate design of flowers and foliate scrollwork, with finely hand engraved detailing. The center has a blank cartouche, never monogrammed or engraved. A fantastic quality piece by a well known name.
This piece is stamped on the side with the maker's mark for Webster as well as sterling.
This trivet is in great overall condition. There are no losses to the sterling silver overlay. The underside of the glass has almost no surface wear/shelf wear whatsoever, due to the thick silver edge which keeps the glass from making contact with surfaces. There are no breaks to the glass, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece measures about 6 inches in diameter. -jm
