Presented is a wonderful English Georgian sterling silver creamer, dated 1801. This creamer is made in a classic helmet form, and features a band of beautifully hand engraved floral decoration around the body. The front of the creamer, beneath the spout, has a laurel wreath enclosed cartouche, which has never been monogrammed. The underside has a presentation reading RHJ from Olive Oakey, London England, Jan 7 1958. This is a generous size creamer, with a liquid capacity of about 12 fluid ounces, or 355 milliliters.

This piece is hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter F for 1801, the duty stamp of King George III's head, and the maker's mark AF likely for Andrew Fogelberg or Alexander Field.

This piece is in great overall condition. There is a very slight dent to one side, but this is not a monogram removal and the silver has not been thinned in that spot. There are no splits, no leaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The creamer stands about 3 3/4 inches tall at the handle and measures about 6 inches from handle to spout.

This piece weighs 151 grams or 5.3 regular ounces. -jm
