Fantastic Antique Fusee Pocket Watch Plate Filigree Steampunk Bracelet
Presented is a fantastic bracelet made from 8 fusee pocket watch balance plates. These plates most likely date to the mid to late 1700s. The plates are made from gilt brass, and are finely hand pierced and engraved with lush scrolling foliate designs, for an attractive filigree effect. No two plates are the same, each one features a different pierced design, with various engraved decorations at the bottom of each one. Some have a North Wind or Father Time face, one has a classical memorial urn, one has a foliate design. The bracelet closes with a simple but secure hook style clasp. What a fabulous way to repurpose old pocket watch pieces into something very wearable and unique, guaranteed to start conversations. Pendants or earrings made from individual fusee pieces are available elsewhere online, but pieces using so many fusee plates seem to be quite rare.
The bracelet is about 8 inches long.
