Presented is a lovely vintage Chinese carved cinnabar bowl, dating to the mid to late 20th century. The bowl is made in a classical floral form (viewed from above) and features a beautifully hand carved cinnabar exterior depicting flowers, craggy rock formations, and and foliate scrolls, against a checkered pattern background. The interior is done in rich blue enamel, for a lovely contrast.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The bowl measures about 7 1/8 inches in diameter and stands about 2 1/2 inches at the rim. -jm
