Fabulous Retro Pair 14k Gold & Sapphire Chevron Clipback Earrings

Presented is a lovely pair of 14 karat yellow gold and sapphire earrings. These earrings are likely of American make, dating to around the 1950s-1960s. The earrings are done in a sort of chevron design, set with 7 sapphires in each earring. The sapphires are about 3 points each in size, for a total carat weight of about 21 points, just shy of a quarter of a carat. The sapphires are well matched in rich blue color, very attractive paired with the yellow gold. The earrings have clip on style backs, suitable for wear with pierced or unpierced ears.
 
The earrings are in great condition. The clipbacks have a good strong spring mechanism. The sapphires are well set. There are no breaks and no repairs.

The earrings are stamped and guaranteed 14k, as well as 'patent pending.'

Each earring is about 1 inch long.
