Presented is a fabulous antique sterling silver serving spoon from Reed & Barton. This serving piece is large and heavy. This piece displays fancy Chrysanthemum flowers and leaves in high relief along the handle. The bowl has a bright gold wash with a matte finish and crisp flowers and strawberries engraved along one side. The back of the handle is monogrammed “MET” in a flowing script.
The reverse is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for Reed & Barton. Made circa 1890.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The pattern details are crisp and well-defined. There are no breaks, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
