Fabulous Italian 800 Silver Heavy Weight Pastry Pie Server NO MONO 9 1/2"
Presented is a fabulous Italian 800 silver pastry server. This is a relatively modern piece, made in the past 30 years or so. The server is done in a pattern that looks identical to the Imperial Crown pattern by Buccellati, with a classical egg and dart design around the handle. The server has a sturdily made handle and a wide flat blade with a slight lip on one side, and can be used for a wide variety of serving purposes.
This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The server is stamped on the stem with 800 for the purity of the silver, as well as an Italian government registered maker's mark of 100 next to PD, the abbreviation for Padova (Padua). There is also a maker's mark of G inside a diamond, which we unfortunately do not recognize.
The server is about 9 1/2 inches long.
The server weighs 146 grams or 5.2 regular ounces.
