Presented is a fabulous Italian 18 karat gold and enamel rooster pin or brooch. This is a relatively modern piece, likely dating to the 1970s-1990s. The pin is done in the form of a crowing rooster with brilliantly colored enamel for his tail plumes and comb. The enamel is done in bright red, blue, green, cyan, yellow, and white, making this a very eye-catching and striking piece. The rooster himself is quite detailed and well done, down to the texture of his feathers and prominent spurs.
This piece is in great condition. The enamel is in great shape, with no losses. The clasp functions well and closes securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
This piece is stamped 750 for 18 karat gold, as well as an Italian government registered maker's mark and another mark, possibly BREV or PREV.
