Fabulous c1820s French or Russian Gilt Stripe Creamer Milk Pitcher 8 1/4” Tall
Regular price
$267.00
Presented is a fabulous antique porcelain creamer or milk pitcher. This piece dates around the 1820s, and is likely of French or perhaps Russian make. The creamer is made in a very elegant hand gilt vertical stripe pattern, with a wide gilt rim and handle.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There are a few places where the gilding is worn, mostly on the handle and the high points of the spout. There are no chips, no crazing, no breaks, and no repairs. The hole on the base seen in the photos does not go all the way through the piece and is original to the manufacture. The creamer will still hold cream or milk without leaking.
Measurements: 4 1/2 inches from spout to handle, 3 1/2 inches wide, and 8 1/4 inches tall -kc
