Regular price
$828.00
Presented is a fabulous German silver 18 piece dessert set. This set was made by Bruckmann & Sons and dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. The set consists of 17 dessert spoons and one large server with a wide, shallow bowl or blade. The handles have a lovely design of flowers and foliate scrollwork against a crisp matte finish. The blade or bowl of the serving piece is beautifully hand engraved with intricate decoration in the form of foliate scrollwork and flowers, very detailed and well done. The pieces all have a rich, vibrant gold wash. Each piece has a monogram of E in decorative script on the front of the handle, showing the silver beneath the gold for a very attractive two-tone effect.
This set is in excellent condition. The details of the engraved designs and the finish are nice and crisp. These items do not look like they have seen any use. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped with the German crescent and crown with 800 for the purity of the silver, as well as the maker's mark for Bruckmann & Sons.
Each spoon is about 4 1/2 inches long. The server is about 8 3/4 inches long.
The total weight for the set is 371 grams or 13.1 regular ounces.
