Fab Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Sterling Silver Modernist Pin / Brooch 327
Presented is a fantastic sterling silver brooch made by designer Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen. Henning Koppel is one of the biggest names in Danish design, known for his elegant organically inspired designs, which remain some of Jensen's most popular and sought after to this day. This particular piece dates to circa 1962, based on the English import marks. The pin has an interesting modernist design, roughly triangular in shape with a raised portion almost like a wishbone. The pin has a rollover style safety clasp.
The pin is in great condition. The clasp closes well and securely. There are no breaks and no repairs.
The pin is stamped on the back with the maker's mark for Georg Jensen as well as sterling, Denmark, and the number 327. Along one edge are English import marks, including the English style Georg Jensen maker's mark of G.J. Ld, 925 for sterling silver purity, the horseshoe-like import mark, and the date letter g for 1962.
The pin is about 2 1/4 inches long.
