Stunning Large 20k Yellow Gold and Turquoise Pendant

Presented is an eye-catching high karat gold and turquoise pendant. This is relatively modern piece, likely made in America. The pendant is set with an irregularly shaped piece of turquoise, a gorgeous green-blue stone with the natural matrix material attractively visible. The turquoise is set in a heavy frame of 20 karat gold, with a subtly textured finish.

This piece is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric acid to determine the purity of the gold. The wirework and the loop/bail at the top are 14 karat gold, while the frame itself is 20 karat gold.

This piece is in good overall condition. There is a very fine crack in the turquoise, but since it is securely set in a bezel style mounting there is no risk of loss, and the crack is hard to notice without close inspection.

The pendant is about 2 1/4 inches long.

The pendant weighs 28.6 grams.
