Eye Catching Antique c1900-1920 Graduated Amber Bead Strand Necklace
Regular price
$420.00
Presented is a gorgeous graduated amber bead necklace, dating to around the first quarter of the 1900s. The necklace is strung with 29 pieces of rich orange amber, graduated in size from about 3/4 of an inch at the smaller ends to about 1 1/2 inches for the largest piece at the middle. The pieces all have lovely natural inclusions visible internally that catch the light like flecks of gold, for a very appealing visual effect. The necklace closes with a threaded screw type clasp that is cleverly set inside the two end beads.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. The amber beads are all present. One of the large beads in the center has a little chip, but this is hard to notice when the necklace is being worn. The cord is in good shape. The clasp functions well and closes securely. The necklace measures about 23.5 inches long
This necklace weighs 48 grams or 1.7 regular ounces.
