Eye Catching Almandite Garnet Agate & Quartz 20-22kt Gold Bead Necklace

Presented is a charming garnet, agate and quartz necklace in high carat gold. This piece dates to the late 1800s and was made in India or southwest Asia. The necklace consists of rich red almandite garnet beads, with a center stone of clear quartz and a pendant set with agate. The agate is very striking, with a  subtle sort of bulls-eye design.

The gold is nitric acid tested and guaranteed 20-22 karat.

The necklace is in great overall condition. The beads have some surface irregularities, which are not damages but are original to the piece. The quartz also has a chip on one side, which looks original to the stone. The back of the pendant is somewhat crimped and crinkled, but this is not noticeable when the necklace is being worn. The necklace has a simple hook and eye style clasp, which closes securely.

The necklace is about 30 3/4 inches long.
