Eye-catching 14k Yellow Gold ~28ct Pear Teardrop Blue Topaz Cocktail Ring

Presented is a unique 14 karat yellow gold and topaz ring. This is a relatively contemporary piece, and was likely made in America. The ring is set with a truly magnificent blue topaz in a very interesting cut, a kind of wide, stepped teardrop or egg shape. The topaz measures about 21.4 by 17.3 by 12.2 millimeters in size, and we guarantee it to be at least 28 carats in weight. This is a conservative estimate, but due to the uncommon cut of the gem, a weight by formula is less likely to be exact, and we prefer to err on the side of caution rather than be potentially misleading. This is a real, mined from the ground topaz gemstone, verified by our on site gemologist. The color is a very striking and vibrant blue, closest to the London Blue topaz variety but a particularly brilliant example and a truer blue, without much green tone, than many London topaz stones exhibit. The first photo, showing the ring outdoors in natural sunlight, is the truest to the in person color of the stone, but of course the color is going to vary both in person under various lighting, indoors vs outdoors etc, as well as online due to different monitor/phone displays. The setting itself is done in a very appealing naturalistic design, reminiscent of molten gold or gold nuggets, quite heavy and with a great feeling of presence and weight on the hand.

The ring is stamped 14k, nitric acid tested and guaranteed.

This piece is in excellent condition. The topaz is well set with no chips.

The head of the ring measures about 23.8 millimeters north to south while the band measures about 9 millimeters wide at the narrowest point.
