Exquisite Victorian Etruscan Revival 18k Yellow and Rose Gold Chain Necklace

Presented is a fabulous Victorian 18 karat gold chain, dating to  around 1865-1885 likely of American make.  The chain is made from 18 karat gold, with large ribbed links in yellow gold alternating with smooth round links in rose
gold. The chain actually consists of two chains each with a springring clasp, so it could be worn as two bracelets, as a necklace, or used as a watch chain, however you like. 

This necklace is in great condition. One of the links of the chain has an old solder   repair, which is hard to
notice when the necklace is worn as it is quite small. 

The chain  is not stamped or hallmarked. We have tested  with nitric acid and guarantee the chain to be 18 karat gold. 

The chain is about 19 inches long. 


The chain weighs 35.6 grams.
