Presented is a fabulous antique 14 karat yellow and white gold and diamond bar pin. This pin was made by Krementz, a renowned jewelry maker, and dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The pin is done in a fantastic filigree openwork design, very finely engraved and detailed. The filigree in the center of the pin is white gold, while the edges are yellow gold. The pin is set with five diamonds graduated in size towards the middle. The largest diamond, in the center, is an old mine cut stone of about 20 points in size. On either side is a diamond of about 5 points in size, and at each end of the pin is a smaller diamond about 1 point in size. The diamonds are vibrant, dazzling stones of VS-2 clarity and G/H color, totaling about 32 points in weight, or just about a third of a carat. The pin has a lever catch style clasp which is very secure.
This piece is in great overall condition. The diamonds are all intact and well set. The clasp functions well and closes securely.
The pin is stamped with the Krementz maker's mark as well as 14k.
This pin measures about 2 7/8 inches long.
