Presented is a high quality shell cameo depicting a beautiful woman. The woman
is shown in profile with upswept hair. Her neck is exposed and she is wearing
earrings. She is gazing to the side with a serene expression. She appears to be
wearing a toga with a flower pinned to her shoulder. Surrounding her is a
textured design which appears to depict crescent moons and stars. The gold
surrounding the cameo is 14k. There is both a pin with a secure clasp and a
hinged bail so this can be worn as a pin or pendant.
The cameo has a faded mark which reads 14k. Tested and guaranteed 14k yellow
gold purity.
The cameo is in great condition. The carving is free from chips and flaws.
The pin shaft is slightly bent but it does not effect use. There are no breaks,
no splits, and no repairs.
The cameo is approximately 1 7/8 by 1 1/2 inches.
The cameo weighs 6.2 grams.
