Presented is a 19th century, 14 karat gold and carved stone cameo brooch, pin or pendant. The back of the pendant has a locket. This Victorian piece is almost certainly made in Italy and is done in a classical Etruscan Revival style, with applied wire and bead accents. The cameo is hand carved to show a detailed profile of a lovely young. The cameo is securely bezel set into a decorative, solid gold mounting and has a hinged bale or loop on the top.
This piece has been tested with nitric acid and is guaranteed to be 14 karat gold purity. This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no damages and no repairs.
The pendant measures 1 3/4 inches long and weighs 15.6 grams.
