Excellent Rare Signed Hawkes ABP Gravic Glass Intaglio Flowers Floral 9" Bowl

Presented is a lovely American Brilliant Period cut glass centerpiece or large fruit bowl. This piece is signed by Hawkes, and is one of their gravic glass pieces. The bowl is beautifully and intricately cut with deep and detailed intaglio floral designs. There are larger tuplip type flowers, sunflowers or the like, and smaller daisies, with various stems and leaves. The rim is done in an undulating style. The glass is thick and heavy, of excellent quality.

This piece is signed on the exterior of the rim for Hawkes, as well as “Gravic Glass.”

This piece is in excellent overall condition. The top rim is in great shape, with only the most minor fretting/flea bites here and there, nothing noticeable without close, careful inspection. The underside has minor shelf wear, as you'd expect. One of the tulip type flowers around the exterior has a small chip to the center ridge, but again this is hard to notice. No other chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. No sickness or clouding to the glass.

The dish measures about 9 inches in diameter and stands about 3 1/2 inches tall at the rim. -jm
