Excellent c1920s Franklin Porter Sterling Silver Handwrought Hand Hammered Bowl
Regular price
$446.00
Presented is a superb antique sterling silver bowl by Franklin Porter, dating to around the 1920s-1930s. This is a finely hand wrought piece, as you'd expect from Franklin Porter, with the marks of hand hammering visible in the finish. This hammered finish catches the light beautifully, the photos can't do the effect justice.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is a minor ding to the underside, which is barely visible in the interior, particularly with the way the hand hammered surface reflects. There are no splits, no serious dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped and guaranteed sterling silver as well as the maker's mark for Franklin Porter.
The bowl measures about 4 7/8 inches in diameter at the rim, and stands about 1 3/4 inches tall.
This piece weighs 181 grams or 6.4 regular ounces. -jm
