Presented is a fabulous antique Chinese cloisonne bulb bowl or brush washer. This piece dates to the late 1800s. The cloisonne decoration is of the highest quality, depicting very vibrant red, pink, and blue flowers and green leaves against a sky blue background. The lighter blue background is further decorated with very intricate fretwork patterning, done in wire inlay.
The underside of the bowl has a large four character reign mark in red and gold.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no dents, no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
The bowl measures about 10 inches in diameter and stands about 3 inches tall at the rim. -jm
